Port Gellhorn
Port Gellhorn is Leonida’s forgotten coast: a former vacation spot of cheap motels, closed attractions and empty strip malls, now framed by Rockstar as a hard-living counterweight to Vice City’s glamour.

Leonida’s forgotten coast
Port Gellhorn is the other side of the postcard. Rockstar calls it Leonida’s “forgotten coast”: a once-popular vacation spot where cheap motels, shut-down attractions and empty strip malls have not brought the tourists back.
The official copy makes the contrast with Vice City deliberate. This is not polished beachfront glamour or a skyline built for a social feed. It is a worn-out roadside world with its own rough new economy, fuelled by the kind of habits and late-night stops that make an easy score feel plausible.
Rockstar gives the place a two-word label-Live Hard-then tells players to get on a dirt bike and hold onto their wallet. That is a remarkably compact mission statement for a location. It identifies Port Gellhorn as a destination in Leonida, but it does not yet establish its exact borders, its full cast of residents, or every activity available there.
[1][2]What Rockstar has shown
The official image set turns the description into a place you can almost smell. One image shows the roadside Starlet Motel under a glowing Vacancy sign; another shows two men among grow lights, one with a shovel and one with a baseball bat. Other released images show a handover through a car window, a cabaret car park at night, and people gathered around a bonfire.
Those images are useful evidence, but they are not a map or a story walkthrough. A scene with a drug deal or a club car park does not confirm a mission, a named business relationship, or the order in which events happen. What it does establish is Rockstar’s intended texture: Port Gellhorn is built from low light, neglected tourism and people making the night work for them.
[1][3]Why it stands outUnconfirmed
The interesting thing about Port Gellhorn is not that it looks dangerous. GTA has never been short of dangerous places. It is that the danger appears ordinary: a vacant motel room, a truck-stop stopover, a parking lot after dark.
That is an editorial reading of the official material, not a confirmed plot point. But it is why the location matters. Vice City can sell the fantasy; Port Gellhorn looks like the place where the bill arrives. For a game whose story stretches across Leonida, that contrast gives the state more character than a single glossy city ever could.
